Event Policies and Code of Conduct
1. Code of conduct
These Event policies and Code of Conduct (together, the “Code of Conduct”) apply to all participants (“Participant(s)”) taking part in the Dead by Daylight 10th Anniversary Party, inclusive of all ancillary or related activities and events occurring around, prior to, or during the main Event.
This Code of Conduct applies to everyone attending the Event. Participants include, but are not limited to, exhibitors, speakers, guests, media, staff, workers, contractors, volunteers, security or any other attendees or participants at the Event.
By participating in the Event, each Participant confirms that they have read this Code of Conduct and agree to comply with it.
2. Definitions
The capitalized terms used in this Code of Conduct and not otherwise defined have the meaning set out in the body of the Agreement.
3. Minimum age to attend
You must be 18 years of age or older, at the time of the Event.
4. Assumption of risk
You acknowledge and agree that participation in the Event is entirely voluntary and involves certain inherent risks, including but not limited to:
- Physical injury, illness, or medical emergencies
- Accidents, slips, falls, or other hazards at the venue
- Risks associated with crowds, including pushing or jostling
- Exposure to allergens or food-related risks
- Loss, theft, or damage to personal property
You agree to take all reasonable precautions to mitigate these risks. By attending the Event, you assume full responsibility for all such risks, whether known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable.
5. Media consent
For the purpose of this provision, “Content” means any capture of a Participant’s voice, image, likeness, actions, and statements, as well as any other element related to a Participant, by any means now known or later developed (including photographs, audio recordings, and films).
By participating in the Event, each Participant agrees to grant us the right to capture their Content during the Event and to use, copy, reproduce, adapt, edit, modify, exploit, broadcast, publish, display, transmit, and distribute the Content in connection with the Event or the promotion of our products, services, or events. As a Participant, you hereby agree to grant us such rights worldwide, on all media and platforms now known or later developed, for a period of ten (10) years from the date of capture, with the right to sublicense.
Each Participant understands and agrees that the consents included within this provision are granted to us free of charge and that no compensation of any kind will be paid to them in connection with it.
A Participant may withdraw the consents provided under this provision at any time by sending a clear written request to dbdanniversary@bhvr.com. Withdrawal will be effective on a prospective basis and will apply to future capture of Content at the Event after our receipt of the Participant’s withdrawal notice. Withdrawal does not operate retroactively and does not affect the use, copy, reproduction, adaptation, edition, modification, exploitation, broadcasting, publication, displaying, transmission or distribution of Content already captured, produced, or disseminated before we received the Participant’s withdrawal notice.
Each Participant acknowledges that, once any materials have been disclosed on public platforms, we cannot control, prevent, or monitor any subsequent use by third parties. Accordingly, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, each Participant agrees that we cannot be held responsible or liable for any unauthorized use, copying, reposting, distribution, or republication of materials by third parties that may include the Participant’s Content, including where such materials are shared on public websites or social media.
6. Recording restrictions
You may only photograph, record, stream, or transmit still images, audio, or video from the Event for personal, non-commercial purposes, unless expressly authorized in writing by us. Any commercial use, distribution, or publication of such content without prior written consent is strictly prohibited. You may not photograph, record, stream, or transmit any content that includes recognizable individuals other than yourself unless you have obtained their express, informed consent prior to doing so.
These activities must be done using handheld phones, tablets, or approved video cameras. Any other electronic recording device is not permitted, including professional recording equipment, drones or any other recording accessories, such as tripods.
Recording, livestreaming, or broadcasting any live musical performance or gameplay from the game demo stations at the Event is strictly prohibited for any reason.
7. General rules of conduct
We want everyone to feel like they are part of one community. We ask that everyone be respectful and courteous while at the Event.
In order to provide a safe, enjoyable, and welcoming environment, we reserve the right to remove from the Event any person whose conduct is deemed to be violent, disorderly, or unbecoming, who uses vulgar or abusive language, or who is in any way noncompliant with this Code of Conduct.
If you witness or experience any activity that puts someone's safety or enjoyment of the Event at risk, inform a staff member, security guard, or police officer, or any guest services personnel. We have escalation procedures in place to handle these kinds of situations, and we will take the appropriate action from there.
8. Zero-tolerance policy
Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. Anyone who engages in harassing or threatening behaviour will be subject to consequences determined by us, which may include revocation of their Ticket. Onsite security and law enforcement may be notified in accordance with applicable law.
We also have a zero-tolerance policy for alcohol and drug use at the Event.
We reserve the right, without refund or compensation of any kind, to refuse admission or remove any person whose conduct is disruptive, aggressive, harassing, or otherwise violates this Code of Conduct, any rules or instructions issued by the Venue, any reasonable instructions issued by us during the Event, or applicable law.

9. Cosplay and props
Dead by Daylight cosplay is allowed and encouraged.
Please make sure that your costume and props comply with the following rules.
Please ensure your costume is safe in terms of size and mobility. It must fit through and be easily maneuvered through a standard doorway, comparable to a typical residential door. Your costume must not restrict your ability to move safely throughout the event premises.
No functional props (including weapons) are allowed.
All costume props may be subject to security screening before admission and must comply with the Venue rules and applicable law. We may also require any Participant to submit to an inspection of their costume props during the Event.
The following criteria determine whether a prop is considered functional and therefore prohibited:
- Firearms: Any firearm, even if inoperable, is not allowed
- Bows: Must have no bowstring or be strung loosely so they cannot fire an arrow
- Arrows: Must have no sharp edges or tips of any kind
- Blunt weapons (hammers, staves, wands): Must be made of lightweight prop materials (e.g., Worbla, foam) and have no sharp edges or harmful elements
- Swords: Must have no sharp edges or tips and be made of lightweight materials as noted above
- Other props: Should be designed with good judgment to avoid harming or inconveniencing others.
After your costume prop has been inspected, it may be marked with a visual tag to confirm inspection. You must keep the visual tag on your costume prop for the whole duration of the Event.
Failure to comply with this provision may result in denial of entry to the Event or removal from the Event, as applicable.
10. Food and Beverage Policy
The Event is alcohol-free. Outside food and beverages, including glass bottles, cans, and alcoholic beverages, are strictly prohibited. Sealed water bottles are permitted.
11. No weapons allowed
Firearms, fireworks, flammable liquids, aerosol products, pepper spray, knives, daggers, swords, clubs, maces, other crushing or edged weapons, projectiles, air guns, longbows, crossbows, or any other weapons are strictly prohibited.
12. Identification
We reserve the right to require any Participant to present a valid government-issued photo identification, for security purposes, to ensure the person is the Ticket rightful holder, and to verify their eligibility to attend the Event.
13. Smoking policy
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside any building where the Event is held. This includes traditional cigarettes, pipes, cigars, e-cigarettes, and all vaping devices or products. Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor smoking areas.
14. Other prohibited items

15. Item restrictions and prohibitions
Bags over the size limit of 11” x 12” x 8” (inches) will not be permitted at the Event. All bags, regardless of size, are subject to inspection at any time, and any oversized bags must be checked at the coat check.
16. Solicitation policy
Soliciting the sale of product or services is not allowed at the Event unless explicitly authorized by us in writing. In addition, solicitation of tips, fees, or donations is not permitted for any reason, unless explicitly authorized by us in writing.
17. Cancellation policy
We reserve the right to cancel or postpone the Event, or any part of the Event, on limited or no notice in our sole discretion. In the event of a cancellation or postponement of the Event, we will not be responsible or liable for any costs, damages, fees, expenses or other compensation associated with the Event, unless otherwise required by law.
